Due to his health struggle, Pastor Jeremy has resigned as Lead Pastor of Lakeside. Check out the blog post, “Update from Pastor Jeremy”, for more information. Also, you may want to check out his last message at Lakeside and our goodbye to him & Adrienne.
Jeremy was born and raised in Brunswick, OH in the suburbs of Cleveland. He remains a giant Cavs and Buckeyes fan and longs for the day when the Browns can win a game.
He felt called into ministry at an early age and went to the University of Valley Forge with a major in youth ministry. He graduated with a BA in Biblical studies and moved to DC to take a job with National Community Church. There, he served as Media Pastor, overseeing video and print communication. He also contributed to the book Outspoken: Conversations on Church Communication.
Feeling God’s call back to the pulpit, he came to Lakeside in 2013 as Associate Pastor. After Pastor Chris’ departure, in March 2015, he was voted in as Lead Pastor.
Jeremy and his wife Adrienne were married in 2012 and have a cute little corgi named Pepe. They love making and eating great food, playing board games, and watching mixed martial arts.
Al was born in Minnesota and raised in Southwest Wisconsin. He spent 6 years in the United States Navy and then about 20 years working at a nuclear power plant in the Eastern Iowa.
Al and his wife Anne were married in 1993. They are the proud parents of Bethany, Carmen, Aidan and Dane.
In late 2004, the Johnsons moved to Algoma when Al changed work locations. The family started attending Lakeside soon after the move.
Al is involved, at Lakeside, as a member of the Worship Team and the audio/video team. He leads the Men’s Ministry Team and is also an Elder.
“I love people! That’s the way God wired me. As a result, at church, you will usually find me hanging out with people in the lobby. I get plenty of exercise interacting with the children. Whew! I really look forward to it.
In 1998, Dora and I were privileged to join up with Russ and Tina Shearer to start Lakeside Community Church. With God leading the charge, great help from other conference churches and numerous committed Christians, we’ve been reaching many people for Jesus. What a thrill to be able to take risks for the Kingdom. Praise God!
I’m a retired teacher and work as a Realtor in the area. I am also a passionate, amateur photographer and my camera is usually near by. Click!
Dora and I were married in 1963 and have three children and six grandchildren. We love to travel and pray for opportunities to interact with people about Jesus no matter where we are. We are so blessed!”
