Churches are dying. More and more people aren’t engaging with a church and most don’t seem to miss it. Many people who love Jesus don’t see the need to be engaged in a church. Maybe it’s because church is boring. Maybe it’s because they had a bad experience. Maybe it’s because church isn’t convenient to a changing culture. Every church is flawed, imperfect, and misses its mark sometimes, because every church is made up of imperfect, flawed people. As crazy as it seems, this was God’s design and he feels so passionate about it that he chose to use the analogy of a marriage when talking about the church.
