Throughout Scripture, generosity is a marker of the people of God. They are free to give generously because they know where their supply comes from. There’s always more on the way. At Lakeside, we take that to heart and strive to be a church that gives generously of our time, our talents, and our treasure.

If Christians serve the God who created everything, it stands to reason that the Church should be the most creative place on the planet. At Lakeside, we believe that God has called us to be creative and authentic.

Creative, because using our artistry and ingenuity is an act of worship. It honors God because these gifts are from him and forhim. The Old Testament is full of descriptions of the beautiful handiwork that the people of God created for him. We do not believe this to be an accident. At Lakeside, we strive to be a creative church.

Authentic, because God is not lazy and does not make copies. He has created each and every one of us unique and distinct and the more we grow into Christ, the more we should reflect not only Christ, but the person God has created us to be. In becoming more like Jesus, you become more fully yourself. Maturity and conformity are not synonyms. At Lakeside, we value people for the way they were created and believe that just as every person is different, so is every church.

If you want to accomplish real work for the sake of the Kingdom, it’s not going to be easy. It’s going to require effort. It might mean that you have to enter into the messiness that comes with community. At Lakeside, we believe that no job is too hard for God or too low for us.
